A linguistic Professor’s journey to a remote Moroccan village becomes a harrowing nightmare when he is abducted and enslaved by Nomadic tribesmen — who in a brutal twist, mutilate him and cut out his tongue. Living among the Nomads for a year, the Professor is transformed into a source of amusement; a dancing monkey who has forgotten all traces of his former life. But when he is sold to a wealthy villager, memories of his previous life resurface and shatter the Professor’s identity, and a series of dramatic events culminates in a desperate, chaotic escape to freedom.
