Vincent, a lonely man, one evening confronts a mysterious log placed on an armchair in his living room. Whether he burns it, throws it away, or cuts it into pieces, it always reappears in the same spot. Torn between despair, anger, and obsession, his journey to destroy the log will lead him to sneak into a sawmill.
